Brammo Inc. announced Friday it will buy a Walmart building in Talent and adapt it for its new headquarters.
Capping off a busy news week for Brammo Inc., the company announced Friday it will buy a soon-to-be-vacated Walmart store in Talent for expansion.
The building, at 300 West Valley View Road in Talent, will be vacated when Walmart moves into a new, larger location in South Medford next month.
Brammo, which makes electric motorcycles and is gunning for an initial public offering of stock, will take possession of the building before the end of the year and retrofit it to meet its needs. Brammo will base research and development production as well as its corporate offices in the new building.
Brammo said in January it was planning to build a new headquarters in Ashland where it's based but decided instead to make use of the existing Walmart property. According to the Medford Mail Tribune, Brammo was one of several companies eyeing the 99,814-square-foot Walmart building along with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Rising Sun Farms.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Brammo to accelerate its growth here in the Rogue Valley and consolidate our teams from the multiple locations we currently occupy,” Craig Bramscher, CEO and founder of Brammo, said in a press release.
Brammo is based in Ashland.
