Eyes on European market, Brammo heads to Milan motorcycle exhibition

Brammo Inc. will hope to build on its racing success at the 70th International Motorcycle Exhibition in Milan, Italy this month.
Fresh from its victory at the 2012 TTXGP World Final at Daytona, Brammo Inc. is headed for EICMA 2012, the 70th International Motorcycle Exhibition next week in Milan, Italy.
Building on the excitement around its racing program, the Ashland company is attending the show in hopes of talking to motorcycle enthusiasts of all stripes about its built-for-the-street motorcycles, the Empulse R and the Enertia Plus which will be on display along with its race-winning Empulse RR.
“The European market is very important to Brammo and we are very excited to be back at EICMA,” said Craig Bramscher, Brammo's founder and CEO, in a press release. "With our recent victory at the TTXGP World Final, we have proven that our electric motorcycle technology is at the very forefront of global developments in this area and we are looking forward to showing our latest models to the European audience at EICMA.”
Through its partnership with Flextronics, Brammo manufactures some of its bikes in Hungary. Last year, the company acquired a European network of parks for electric dirt bikes. Brammo plans to introduce an electric dirt bike next year.
In Portland last month for the Portland Business Manufacturing Awards and said that Oregon's natural green brand helps the company sell electric motorcycles overseas.
