True South Solar of Ashland installed the solar array at the airport in Medford.
Funding from Pacific Power's Blue Sky grant program helped pay for a 15-kilowatt solar installation at the Rogue Valley International Airport in Medford.
The SolarWorld-made panels and power inverters from Advanced Energy's Bend operations were installed by Ashland-based True South Solar.
“The Rogue Valley International Airport’s new solar canopies represent a significant first step toward a more sustainable on-site energy sources for our growing regional airport,” shares Eric Hansen, general manager of True South Solar, in a press release.
The Blue Sky grant program is funded by Pacific Power customers who elect to support renewable energy projects with a monthly charge on their bill. Pacific Power is the utility operated by Portland-based PacifiCorp.
