One of the most enjoyable things we do at Sustainable Business Oregon every year is shine a light on companies that are doing it right.

Our Innovation in Sustainability Awards program singles out Oregon businesses that have a product, an approach to their operations, a new slant on their supply chain or a new way to advocate. What they all have in common is that they are setting an example and doing their part to move sustainable business forward in significant ways.

For the first time this year, we worked with the city of Portland's Sustainability at Work program during the nomination and selection process. Next year, we'll take that partnership even deeper. Working with their considerable knowledge — Sustainability at Work visits hundreds of businesses each year — we'll aim to strengthen the overall awards program, reaching even deeper into the business community to surface more stellar examples of sustainability.

In the mean time, this year's class of finalists is an exceptionally interesting bunch. If you'd like to join us Friday to meet them at the awards luncheon, there are still some tickets left.
